Collaboration with the Sharks in Israel NGO
About the project
For over a decade, Sharks in Israel has been collecting sightings of sharks and rays in the Mediterranean and Red Sea in order to monitor species status and strengthen conservation efforts. We need a web application that will allow us to input and share data simultaneously with our partners at other stations across the Mediterranean.
Our database already contains around 12,000 sightings, which we want to manage in a secure and user-friendly way. To achieve this, we require a web app that can be used by project managers, volunteers, and observers, enabling easy data entry, streamlined workflows, data validation, and basic analysis.
The partner organization
Sharks in Israel is a nonprofit organization dedicated to conserving a diverse and healthy natural environment through research, education, and outreach across a variety of projects. The organization works in collaboration with the public to study sharks and rays in our region, make both the knowledge and the animals more accessible, and strengthen nature conservation based on science.
